and composition of silver, produced by nature through and from our fountain.

3. Our fountain does not truly and essentially receive its full determination from the influencing moon original: "influirenden Mond"; this arises solely through steady boiling original: "Kochung". For if this material original: "Materia" were boiled longer, it would become pure gold. Nature rests at this point because it can go no further.

4. The influence of the planets and stars can do no more in this process than to awaken the internal heat of the material and set it into motion. Through this motion, the material is boiled and made mature.

5. A complete and entirely finished boiling generates gold. An incomplete boiling generates silver.

6. Our fountain has seven stages in its boiling through which it must be led. In the first degree, mercury original: "Quecksilber" comes forth; in the second, lead original: "Bley"; in the third, tin original: "Zien"; in the fourth, copper original: "Kupfer"; the fifth gives iron original: "Eisen"; the sixth, silver original: "Silber"; the seventh and last, as the most perfect degree, delivers gold original: "Gold".
