That I should say where I found
instruction, it is a wonder. This distinct
and natural book must be read
above all things, and well learned.
First, the fundamental A. B. C. D. is 1, 2, 3.
He who does not know and recognize this, knows not God,
for from His Being comes the influx and the
wandering through, and it comes, and is yet only one.

Now mark what I tell you, as much as my
small understanding can grasp and may.
I find it written, which I do not teach, like the lords
who discuss things beyond my understanding,
and the smaller understanding of the faithful, who
are also not stretched into Heaven or the Earth,
like I, even if there be many languages.
One needs to speak no more than his
mother tongue, and the understanding understands it.
You are, and you confessed it! From what you
are made, that is your mother and your
body, child. That is your God, that is your father,
or the one who knows this. And how it goes,
so you were indeed created before the
entire wide great world was created.
For in the beginning the Scripture says that the Spirit of God
hovered upon the water, and God separated the
water from the lasting thing, that is the moisture
in the hard standing boiling in the water, or in

Mercurius mercury always hovers there, and the suns
come out of this chest before God's shadow.
And God is in you, with His power, and in
the earth and water as well as in you,
for without God nothing lives. Thus lives
God in all created creatures, in the light
as well as in the water and fire.

Note: Galenus Galen spoke to the ear.
With Galen, the unicorn, and Hippocrates Hippocrates,
and all the faithful high descriptions
look well. These have nothing to do with it this time,
but they have said as much as some
erring doctors, who say whether it is true or not and
mean that these matters are entirely fulfilled,
or like other great household wants
with which the whole world is plagued,
with all the poor and the weary, the
fallen humanity, also kings and emperors.

This is not a simple teaching from
nature, but hear it and let the talking be.
It benefits you nothing to hear with 'the' and 'o'.
Learn this first, this wonder so
real, that the other is also recognized. For
when you recognize yourself, who you are,
then you will also recognize God. For man
is a temple of God, and in it is the
holy place. Where you are not in yourself,
you will not learn to know God.
