Collect three units raised up, then you will note them below and in their proper place; as you see in this opposite example.

In the numerical tables above, many of the zeros contain a diagonal slash (lineola), as referenced in the following text.
When this is completed, you will find cifras zeros or digits placed before the number of generations in the last line of any Word, whether it is a single one, as you see in the word An, or whether there are many, as in the word Antonius and in the other words (for example: in the word Antonius there are ten zeros before the number of generations, as can be seen above). You shall cut away these zeros, however many exist before the number of generations, from the work by cutting them with a small line original: "lineolâ".
But here someone will say: Why in the word An, as well as in the words Facutus and Venetus, have I written only double lines; whereas in the remaining words I have noted three? To this I respond and give the reason for the operation.
If I had formed a third line from the numbers of the word An, as well as Facutus and Venetus, where in the rest of the words the numbers of the said second line were 0 (for if from the number 0 first in the second line of the word An you wished to take the remaining units 0, which you should believe is by no means to be done). For a line must never remain without a generative number; rather, as many lines are to be made there as the generative number requires. That this is achieved in the first line, I intend that it should at least not be denied in the second. But if it should sometimes happen that this unique line can be made, as if a word were to be applied to a number, whose numbers are 14, from which no triple can be extracted (except in such a case you will fashion no line for that word, rather the sum itself will be left in its own state). But so that the extraction of Radicum Roots may become known, you should strive to work as follows.
Take the number of any first line of the operation, and according to its value and quantity, you will multiply the sum corresponding to it, and you will subtract the product from the quantity arising from the generative number of that line (whether it be one, two, or three) of this second Operation.
