nonetheless supernatural visions. But the others that are done by conjurations are neither natural nor supernatural, but rather diabolical. Therefore they belong to nigromance necromancy and must be rightly forbidden to all good Christians. Also, such means that are against the Holy Scripture and the divine word are rejected by true natural Cabalistes Kabbalists. For this reason I say that one must make a certain distinction to find a true order of natural and supernatural things.
In the same way, among supernatural things also belong all aquatic spirits, such as sirens, succubi, and other water nymphs and that which depends on them. Likewise also the terrestrial spirits, and those that inhabit the air, who let themselves be seen and heard, and sometimes announce death or some other accident. To make my word more certain, I say that several things can also be found in medicine which show their virtue by a magnetic operation and form. This is done only by a spiritual attractive virtue that is drawn by means of the air, because the air is the medium between the medicine and the illness. This is in the same way that the magnet original: "aymant" always turns toward its south pole, even though such a star is assigned to it from several thousands
