of places away. The spiritual virtue and the love is so powerful between them that they are, by the said medium, namely the air, attracted together across a very great distance. But because such attractive virtue is known by the world, it has generally become a simple custom and is only held as such because no one takes notice of where its source and operative virtue come from. In the same way, ulcers and diseases can be cured even if the interested person and the physician are separated by a great distance from each other. This is not by prayers, conjurations, or other forbidden manners that are against God and nature, but it is done by such a means in which the magnetic attractive virtue is hidden.
For example, if someone who was wounded went away and left the sword or weapon with which he had been wounded, or some of the blood from the wound, with the physician: if one proceeds with that by the true means, just as one is accustomed to dressing a wound, it will heal without any doubt. This is not sorcery. Instead, the healing is perfected only by the attractive virtue of the medicine, which is carried by the means of the air to the wound and is purified with great
effort to accomplish the spiritual operation. Many will find this discourse difficult and consider it impossible for nature, and will say this teaching is against nature. By this means, many people will be moved to dispute whether this is natural or not, or if this cure is an enchantment. I will decide this difficulty thus: I say that this cure is natural, but its operation is supernatural, because it is done only by a simple attractive and impalpable way. This way of healing is not mixed with any sorcery nor anything else that is not natural or that is against God and his holy word. Rather, it is truly natural by its attractive, spiritual, invisible, and impalpable virtue, which has received its origin and source from the siderée sidereal or starry realm and accomplished its operation through the elements. Finally, I maintain again that this cure is not enchantment, because the Devil takes pleasure in the misfortune of the human race rather than doing it any good or help, which is also not possible for him to do without the consent and permission of God. One could still write much of this magnetic form, but to prevent many errors, I will be silent and stop here
