is mixed with the spirit of the sulfur of the sun
and its salt, and you make them pass together
in a conjunction so that they can never
be separated, that one has such a work which,
having acquired its term and true required time
by the solution of Gold and reduced to its full
maturity and very great perfection, to which
nothing is to be compared for preventing poverty and
disease and for a rich, superfluous satiety
of the body and of goods. This then is a way
as one sees to acquire the spirit of mercury,
which I have revealed as much as was permitted to me
by the great Emperor. You will therefore take good
care of the practice of my work that
I have done and declared, so that you do not need
to endure a punishment in hell because of my
faithful warning. Insofar as the true
opening of the door of the Royal Court is
opened only by a single Key, which
cures all diseases, be it dropsy,
consumption, gout, stone, the high sickness epilepsy,
apoplexy, leprosy, and in general whatever
names they may have. Also, this medium
cures all kinds of pox and all old
ulcers, whether lupus, viars?, fistulas, cancers,
worms, and all corrosive ulcers, as I have
revealed to you and hidden nothing finally. And take
care provided that you do not wish to reveal
more, for insofar as all sciences
have their beginning and source from the spirit
of mercury, which is comforted by its
spiritual sulfur and results in a life, so that
from them together is made a spiritual thing.
And by this salt they take form and body.
But the beginning of the soul, of the spirit,
and of the body, let it be a true magnet,
as also it is one and cannot be
recognized as another. But this is the final
sum: that without the spirit of mercury, which
is the true key to make bodily Gold
potable, the philosopher's stone cannot
be made. Stop also at this judgment
and keep silent, for now I will say
nothing more, insofar as to you and to me
it was enjoined by the Great Judge to
do so. And I command the execution to you yourself
and the search to another who has not yet
been able to show anything true.
