If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

I promised, but it seemed best to the counsel of my friends that I should first publish a work on grammatical institutions, since this is primarily needed by one who is eager to be initiated into the sacred mysteries of an unknown language, as we have said before. I would not deny that more extensive grammatical institutions are held among the Iudaeos Jews, but who would want to overwhelm beginning students with so many precepts? Perhaps we shall obtain those very things from them in their own time. In the meantime, having imbibed these precepts of ours, anyone will easily obtain the rest through continuous reading, diligent study of sacra scriptura Holy Scripture, and the comparison of passages and interpretations, as much from the septuaginta Septuagint as from others. Fare well, and think well of the labors of Münster. Basel, in the year of salvation 1524, in the month of January.
