72. But the dream is betrayed immediately, both by the variety of medicines and the common neglect of the stars.

73. And because it does not suffice to have direction toward the weapon, but toward its material, and toward the wounded body.

74. In these, however, there is no consensus, because of the greatest variety which they use.

75. The healing power in a certain subject cannot be derived so exactly from the heavens, unless it is deduced with the universal.

76. This, however, the medicated weapon does not move in the least.

77. For it is not friendly to just anything, but to a determinate thing.

78. Indeed, not even if human fat is used (for some use this, although others take something from a skull, others something else) will the same thing serve to heal the wounds of every individual.

79. For just as in other things, so among humans, many dyspatheia difficulties of suffering/insensitivity and weaknesses are found.

80. And sometimes the fat is taken from a diseased corpse, sometimes from a healthy one.

81. It is also pretended in vain that something of the harmed part clings to the weapon, by means of which a direction to the singular is made.

82. For it would not be necessary for the healing to occur in the weapon.
