I have used very popular words, as the skilled will recognize. But yet it was necessary not rarely to speak with craftsmen. If you do not attain [them], this let be your first care, that you understand the language of the discipline, a thing which we are forced to do in every art. When you have attained that, read and re-read what I have written; every difficulty will flee. Whatever further impediments you bring; those, when I understand them, I will take care to have removed in the information of the art, although there is no one who can satisfy everyone, and as the old saying has it, not even Jupiter chief Roman god, whether he rains or holds back. That is all.
