The Cabala, however, from the high content of its high, secret understanding, shows the right path and road to man to reach God the heart, how one should deal with Him, and what one should reveal and proclaim from His Word. MAGIC directs itself according to the Anima mundi soul of the world and the natural spirit of natural light: if it could lure this forth from the created things of God, primarily from the metals and minerals, and bring it to an Incombustible oil, then man would be helped. CABALA, however, directs itself according to the light of the HOLY SPIRIT, which is also ignited from above in the hearts of the faithful: and faith must spring and flow from the Holy Fountain of the Word of God, and from the living water source of CHRIST, John 4, which will then bring us into Eternal Life, where we shall enjoy, drink, and eat with CHRIST in His kingdom the New Divine Nectar and heavenly Ambrosia, Manna, and Angel-bread. To become partaker of such grace, now from the natural Tincture fountain of health and all riches here temporally, and then also the Heavenly Fountain of grace of living water and Divine Nectar in the kingdom of CHRIST eternally, we must arrange ourselves differently for the matter: as far as the natural concerns, follow the footsteps of Theophrastus, Bacon, Fr. Basilius, Isaac Hollandus, etc., and other philosophers: what concerns the Eternal, follow CHRIST JESUS, as the Trismegistus, Spagyrist, Philosopher, Physician of body and soul, study the "Follow me," "ask, seek, knock," let these three also be our concern, keep His new great commandment, which is yet a light and easy burden: namely, to love God with all one's heart, with all one's soul, with all one's mind, and with all one's strength, and our neighbor as ourselves, etc. Item, to be found as faithful and diligent students in the eight Beatitudes, to hear CHRIST alone, not to follow any man, or human wisdom and their spirit, for it is written: "Cursed is he who trusts in Man,"
