The New Olympic and Blessed Rosary

Note the preparation of the Red Lion and proceed as follows:

Take one part of this work ground small, and let a thousand parts of the best Hungarian gold flow, and add this part in the flow; let it run for three and a half hours in the flux. Thus, this part converts the gold into pure tincture a concentrated essence capable of transmutation. Thereafter, throw one part upon a thousand parts of silver in the flux; this converts everything into the highest hammer-wrought gold, like lead, deliciously good in all tests.

From this tincture, also take one part and throw it upon a thousand parts of mercurius mercury/quicksilver that comes out of the mountains in the fire; thus, pure tincture will result from it. From this, again take one part and throw it upon a thousand parts of Hohenberg mercurius; thus, it turns it again into purely clear tincture; everything remains a powder. Take one part of this tincture and throw it upon a thousand parts of mountain mercurius; when it smokes in the crucible, the highest and best gold results, permanent in all tests. Thus is also done the projection the act of casting the tincture onto base metals to transmute them upon copper, tin, iron, etc.

Thus you see the great wonders of God, what a secret He has placed into the creatures, and especially into gold, which is the highest among the seven and is called the royal metal by all philosophers.

Therein lies the great treasure of kings, if it is brought into its spirituality, for wealth and long life in this world. So, here in this mystery, is a beautiful analogy to the future and eternal life, that one part of this tincture should penetrate so many parts. Thus shall also the chosen ones penetrate in a moment, as they wish, in the future life.

Now follows the augmentation of the Red Lion.

You should know that where you have cooked the first Red Lion with its red blood to fixity, and draw the same again to spirituality, and make it fixed again for a short time, it tinctures three thousand times more with one part than before. And where it is dissolved again, and cooked in its perfection, it tinctures all metals six times more with one part, and after the solution, it doubles by six. And the multiplication is not to be expressed.
