Some also make use of other evil practices and deceit, all for their own gain and benefit, to whom likewise answer is made herein.

Chapter XXI.

From which recounted causes, many of them use the dog's way, in that when such are thrown at with a stone, they do not turn upon the perpetrator but much rather upon the stone, that is, they interpret everything to the disadvantage of the Fraternity, to whom it is much rather to be wished that they understood such a part better and showed due honor to the aforementioned Fraternity, which seeks nothing else but the neighbor's welfare, both before them and everywhere else.
