4 Esdras 14:37 et seq. And I took five men, as the Lord commanded me, and we went out into the field and remained there. And it came to pass the next day, and behold, a voice called me, saying: Ezra, open your mouth and drink what I will give you to drink. And I opened my mouth, and behold, a cup full as it were of water, but its color was like fire, was offered to me. And I took it and drank, and when I had drunk it, my heart was flooded with understanding, and wisdom increased in my breast, for my spirit kept the memory. And my mouth was opened and was not shut again. The Most High gave understanding to the five men, and they wrote what was dictated, the wonders of the night, which they did not know. By night they ate bread, but I spoke by day and did not keep silent by night.
