For no age can be crowned with honor / which has
not learned in youth / to walk upon the way and
path of virtue. Since then nature is blind without
instruction, instruction without nature deficient, the
use without the now-mentioned incomplete, but
artium matre methodô by the method which is the mother of arts / both those
who through neglect or lack, in the years of their
youth, have been removed from studiis studies,
the pen-relatives / equally to those who still
linger in scientiarum tyrociniis in the apprenticeships of the sciences /
could be served ; as I have, a normam norm/standard
formamvè or form, how to proceed in epistolis germanicè conscribendis
