To open the eyes of the student of Truth more widely, and to show how all these things can come to pass and prove true, I inform him of this: for this smelting of which I speak, those already pure metals like Iron, Lead, and Tin are not necessary, but can be used in their mature state for other purposes. For the said smelting and operation, those common leaden ores rich in Sulphur a flammable, combustible principle, which are found unsuitable for producing useful and merchantable lead, are sufficient; likewise those Iron and Copper ores from which, by Nature, no malleable and fusible Copper or Iron can be extracted for smelting. For that very operation requires no Copper, Iron, or Lead, being content only with those poor ores and with Salt alone, with which the Earth is so everywhere filled that one need never fear a lack of materials to complete such an operation.
Indeed, if I did not fear the mouths of ignorant asses and their most impudent slanders, I would boldly and truly assert that it is entirely possible for true and natural Gold to be extracted from common table Salt (not to mention Vitriol a sulfate mineral and other mineral salts) not without profit. I shall demonstrate that this is entirely possible in my General Appendix, which will elucidate all my writings published thus far with clearer notes, and I will reveal the method by which pure Gold can be acquired from seawater in those warmer regions.
But what is the need for me to speak many words about these unknown and deeply hidden Mysteries of Nature,
