The linen cloth is washed in water, which turns red
With the fresh blood of the wounded person;
But the powder is first dissolved in the liquid:
The linen is dried thereafter. What more is there?
The wound ceases to ache, and the pain is removed.
All things rejoice in a temperate heat;
For if they are made hot by warmth and fire,
The wound is seared by a flaming passion.
Here the author sees a great miracle, and
That Astral Spirit, and moreover
The strength and power of the hidden medicine,
