at the time when the eternal Spirit of the Lord was borne over the waters. The Macrocosm, that is, heaven and earth, was first created, then the microcosm, namely man, was formed from the macrocosm. After the water had been separated from the earth, water was the material over which the everlasting Spirit of GOD was borne. From the most noble earth, as if from its fifth essence, the microcosm was fashioned through the remaining aqueousness of the earth, but all these things were merely natural. After the warm, divine inspiration, however, the supernatural immediately intervened, and thus the supernatural and natural were joined together. The Macrocosm is fleeting and perishable, even if a new world is to be established, but the microcosm is eternal. The Macrocosm will be reduced to nothing, from whence it was made, but the microcosm will be glorified through the spirit of GOD, because it possesses Him, and it will construct the celestial clarified water from the former terrestrial water; then it will appear that the first matter had been changed into the last, and the last into the first. The cause of the destruction of the macrocosm is that the Spirit of the Lord will change His seat and dwelling place within it and transfer it into the microcosm. For man is indeed the temple of the Holy Spirit, unless he contaminates himself and adjudges himself to hell, by which very act a conflict ensues and GOD flees from him, whom He created in His own image and dedicated as a temple for Himself. Furthermore, all things that are given in the macrocosm are also contained in the microcosm, namely heaven and earth with the Elements, and whatever is akin to these and connected from the firmament.
We also discover that three things arose in the first creation, made from nothing: the animal, the spiritual, and the visible essence, which served in the place of Mercurial water, sulphureous exhalation, and terrestrial The text cuts off here, likely intending to mention the third, salt or earth.
