At the top of the central motif sits a noble coronet. Below the coronet are two oval shields joined together, representing an alliance of families. The left shield is quarterly, featuring lions rampant and other heraldic charges. The right shield is also quarterly, showing horizontal bars and other motifs. Beneath the two main shields is a smaller decorative cartouche containing a stylized monogram, possibly SL or GL.
