If you spot an error, have a suggestion, or just want to say hello — we’d love to hear from you.

labors of yours, proceed to bring forth both the truth itself and the happy offspring of your genius into the light, not indeed for those ungrateful and unworthy cuckoos, but only for those whom the Divine Power has chosen for the path of truth. Farewell in these things, and do not cease to love me.
While your dogmas come forth into the bright light,
Who would deny that these are the dogmas of true wise men?
For you write learnedly, unlocking both the matter and the method,
I believe that you have Light from the sacred Divine Power.
I believe that, ascending the heights of the lofty Pindus,
You know how to have your games with the Muses.
I believe that you know how to slay the vigilant dragon,
And to pluck the apples of the Hesperides with a learned hand.
I suspect that the wondrous secrets of the Wise are not hidden from you,
Even if you, humble, deny knowing such things.
Indeed, it is fitting for him to be humble who has known the sacred art,
For to the humble, the Divine Power provides the path to high things.
But you, silent, proceed with Jason and Hercules,
And pluck the golden fleece with an audacious hand.
Pluck the fleece with your hand, which is the medicine of potable gold,
And continue to note that in your writings.
Thus, proceeding on this journey, you will be another Jason to us,
Writing these things, you will thus be another Paracelsus.
While you fashion the stone, not coal but the fire of Jove
Serves you, which your writings teach.
Indeed, you construct the wise stone with the sacred fire of Jove,
Since this hearth forges the dire thunderbolts of Jove.
