Since the most favorable reader has not only fully judged the diligent investigators of all natural things, but it is also held by everyone that all things are sustained by the power and force of water, I have, according to my promise, not neglected to bring to light several beautiful, artificial waterworks, with a preceding report on the nature and properties of each water, so that one may know how to guide such things, and how each water is to be tested.
