This is another kind or manner of a mill, by which one can grind by means of one man, for here the man drives the large wheel A. forward with his feet, which wheel has teeth on its plane below (which are turned downwards) and is set obliquely; and when the wheel is driven around, it catches the cam B. with its teeth and thus drives the cogwheel C., whose teeth are on the side. This wheel seizes with its teeth the cam or drive D. that is in front of it and causes the shaft or spindle, which is fastened directly under the millstone E., to go around and moves the millstone, so that the grain which falls down from the hopper is ground, and the flour is poured into the box G. As can be seen in the copperplate.
