Honorable, Respected, and Wise, especially favorable brother-in-law, since I published last year the fifth part of the Theatrum Machinarum, which treats of graceful fountains, jet-d’eaus and draw-wells, and the like, and since now, from various places and persons, it has been suggested to me that I also edit the sixth and last part so that the work might be fully completed, I have not wished or been able to refuse this any longer.
