The ecclesiastical and political power of his office is represented: the former by the episcopal staff Latin: "pedo Episcopali", the latter by the sword. Below, the chapel is distinguished by blue and white marble, and the joints are elegantly filled with metal.
The monuments of various Bishops and Canons of this church are also well worth seeing: especially that of Precislai de Pogrella Przecław of Pogorzela, who was Bishop from the year 1341 until the year 1376, and since he built the smaller choir, that is, the Mansionaries’ Chapel consecrated to the Blessed Virgin, he also wished to be buried there. He lies in the form of a man exceeding human stature, dressed in episcopal habit, with a book which he holds in his hand, and with a lion lying at his feet, carved quite artfully for the genius of that century from white and very beautiful marble, placed upon a marble slab of white mixed with reddish-brown, with the following inscription made of metal: > In the year of the Lord 1376, on the day of the month of April, died the Most Reverend Father in Christ and Lord, Lord Przecław of Pogorzela, Bishop of this Church and Founder of the Chapel. Pray to God for him. Below the coat of arms it is read: > Przecław of Pogorzela, Bishop of Breslau, the happiness of his times. At the side of the primary altar, effigies are seen cast in the same way from metal; on one side is the figure of Bishop Petri II Novack Peter II Nowak, who died in the year 1456, on the other that of Rudolphi, who died in 1482, and in the Choir, Henricus, who was buried there in the year 1319. In the first chapel toward the north lies Bishop Johannes V. Thurzo, with a form matching a man's stature, made of stone, and next to the silver altar, which he himself built as mentioned above, lies Bishop Andreas Jerinus, carved from red marble in the year 1596; very near the sacristy, however, is Bishop Sebastianus Rostock. Last year, for the sake of honor, most beautiful monuments were erected for the first Bishop, Godofredus, and opposite him for Bishop Nankero, made of black Cracow marble and blue Priborn marble, with gilded stone statues; below, however...
