--- Idem, in-12. Paris. 1740. 4 vol. These are recipes for all sorts of useful and curious materials. There are many concerning metallurgy, which is why they have a place in this Catalogue. The work was printed in Paris around the year 1664 in two small volumes, then in Holland in two somewhat larger volumes. Finally, the work returned to Paris, and the latest edition is much more comprehensive than the others. Some are passable, and others are very poor.
Enchyridion Physicæ restitutæ, cum Arcano Philosophiæ Hermeticæ Handbook of Restored Physics, with the Secret of Hermetic Philosophy, in-8°. Paris. 1608. I place this edition of this book here, attributed to President d'Espagnet. It seems to me to be the first that appeared. From this, one can see that Morhof was mistaken in
