Büchner, Andreas Elias · 1755

But so that we may in turn and more fully declare our good intention, it has been decided to establish the following conditions:
I. Any gifts, handed over either to the President, or to the Director of the Ephemerides journal, or to an Adjunct or some other nearby colleague for the mentioned goal, will be immediately inscribed in a special register of records, with the name of the donor added; which will also be noted in the books given as a gift themselves, unless perhaps it has already been done by the hand of the offerer.
II. In books purchased, the names of those who contributed money for the acquisition will be inscribed: which will similarly be observed in those, if any by chance should arrive in duplicate, and have been exchanged for other useful ones.
III. On individual volumes, the insignia of the Academy of Natural Curiosities will be printed; although we also make it free for anyone donating something to likewise affix their own family arms for perpetual memory.
IIII. Handwritten letters of illustrious men, and also dissertations, and other more or less perfect works, and due to a lack of opportunity or for other reasons not yet published, whatever will be donated, will be carefully preserved and hidden in special cabinets, in such a way that at the discretion of the offerer, they either remain at rest, left for the private uses of the Society at least, or, revised and elaborated by the study of some colleague, they are brought to light by common consent, not without merit to the authors' eulogy.
