Preface.

The 1st, the writers who have dealt with salts in general and in particular, whereby the types of salt are arranged alphabetically, and as far as possible no writing dealing with them has been passed over.
The 2nd, those who have dealt with earths in general and in particular, whereby the types of earth are likewise arranged according to the alphabet.

The 4th, on metallurgy and its subdivisions, namely:
a) mineralogical chemistry,
b) mining,
c) smelting chemistry,
d) assaying,
e) metal preparations,
f) alchemy, where various pieces of information about alchemists have been provided and everything possible utilized.
The 5th, on Hyalurgie the art of glassmaking.
