fields require. My intention with this second part is no more directed at profit than it was with the first, on which I suffered a considerable loss: rather, the good of my fellow human beings, the benefit of the active citizen of town and country, is the goal I wish to attain. Because, however, I do not find myself in such fortunate circumstances where I can risk considerable costs for the state and enjoy the joy of patriotic sacrifices: I am compelled to secure myself against disadvantage; and every fair-minded person will not blame me for the path I am taking for this reason. I therefore ask my fellow citizens to support and promote my enterprise through pre-subscription; in doing so, I set the price at 20 ggr. groschen Saxon, or one florin and 18 kr. kreuzer Rhenish, promise the 10th copy free of charge for subscribers of 9 copies, and schedule the time for this until Easter 1795. By then I will deliver the work; but due to the difficulty of the expenses incurred, I will not be able to let it go for less than 1 Rthlr. Reichstaler 8 Gr. groschen.
I designate the following places for the collection of pre-subscriptions:
