An oval etching depicts a traditional Swiss alpine chalet built of heavy timber with a stone-weighted roof. On the left side of the house, several figures are gathered in the shade of a porch. To the right, a saddled horse stands ready. The background shows rugged mountain peaks under a cloudy sky. Small signatures are visible along the lower curve of the oval: "G. Lory del" on the left and "F. Hegi Sc." on the right.
