Salarian?
The Salarian Bridge The Pons Salarius carried the Via Salaria over the Aniene river. It was famous for being the site where Manlius Torquatus defeated a Gaul in single combat is outside the Salarian Gate original: "falariam," a likely printer's error for Salariam upon which are inscribed the poems written below:
How well the straight path of the curved bridge was directed,
and the interrupted journey is continued.
We marvel at the rapid waves of the whirlpool beneath,
and it is pleasing to see the murmur of the angry water.

and let the resounding applause of Mars sing everywhere.

There are also other letters meaning inscriptions, as I shall mention in my little work on epigraphs original: "opusculo epyth." — Albertini refers to his own collection of ancient inscriptions.

To Tiberius Plautius Silvanus Aelianus, son of Marcus, of the Fabian tribe, pontiff, member of the Augustan priesthood, member of the board of three for the minting of gold, silver, and bronze coins original: "iii. Vir. A. A. A. F. F." — an abbreviation for auro argento aere flando feriundo, quaestor to Tiberius Caesar, legate of the fifth legion in Germany, urban praetor, legate and companion of Claudius Caesar in Britain, consul, proconsul of Asia, legate of the propraetor of Moesia, in which province he brought across more than one hundred thousand of the peoples from beyond the Danube to pay tribute, along with their wives, children, and their chiefs or kings.
