And even if one told them, they gave the answer that such curing is against God, and one misuses His holy name—even though I have by no means misused it. If I had used it, however, for the ruin, harm, or disadvantage of man, or cursed and blasphemed God by His name, or otherwise sworn by God and His name for a spirit, a human, a herb, a root, a stone, etc., or the like, then one could well say with truth and justice that I have misused and taken the name of God in vain and angered God. But not before. Let the theologians and sophists say what they want, it will not be found so in the truth, even if they are fiercely against me in this. It will be proven well in the trial that they do nothing to me other than what the Jews and Pharisees did to Christ when He made a sick man healthy on the Sabbath. They said He broke the Sabbath and the commandment of God. And like they did to David, when he went into the Temple of God in his time of hunger with his army and ate the showbread for his hunger. But how can one please everyone? One must let people talk until the cows and stones would learn, which is still a long way off.
There are two kinds: natural and supernatural. But of the manifold natural visions and appearances in sleep or dreams, it is not necessary to deal much, since such things happen daily, sometimes out of sadness, melancholy, or impurity of the blood, or out of
