Pills of washed Aloe, and
Mastic and
Yerapigra.

for they purge putrid phlegm, and malice, and converts a man from a bad complexion to a good one, and makes him acquire good youth. The purgation of this thing is, that vomiting should be taken after the satiety of food, as is said elsewhere. And similarly it must be assisted with those things which consume, such as
dyanthos a medicinal preparation of clove flowers, which consumes phlegm, and the malice of the brain, and retards grays, and corroborates sense: And
dyatameron a medicinal digestive confection, which comforts digestion and consumes phlegmatic humidities and superfluities in the body wherever they may be: And preserved ginger, which consumes the humidity congealed from fish and fruits: And preserved
kebuli myrobalan fruits properly consume and dry up phlegmatic superfluities of the stomach, and comfort it, and clarify the blood, and it is valid for those who are melancholic, and if they are taken every day, they preserve youth and make adolescence return, and retard grayness.
The first medicine and the first cure of this thing is the evacuation of phlegmatic humor.
