anger? then does it become pale, is there here fear? afterwards it turns yellow, is there here jealousy? finally, when the matter is safe, it blushes, is there here shame, or rather splendor? just as whiteness lies hidden in blackness, citrinity in whiteness, redness in citrinity for Libavius. But why is it not consumed by fire? Certainly it is consumed, but not, like other things, destroyed: the color and flow indicate this. we have heard often: of protection, never. Indeed, as it is put and placed in them to metaballein, metabainein to transmute, to migrate, and thus be generated into one another, and from one another, and that faster or slower, more easily or with difficulty, pros allela toward one another as they have a symbolon sign/correspondence, or are asymbola incompatible, not indeed entirely, but in parts, a known thing: but that they cover themselves, or others, against others, is a different matter, new, and alien to the sense of the philosophers. But what battle of fire is this? That it vexes, devours, wastes, and that empyron eis apeiron a fire to infinity. But what is that fire? Is it Solar, cleansing, illustrating, drawing out, bringing up, maturing and moderating all things? This fights no one, but defends many. Is it celestial, animating, arming, forming, strengthening, saving, healing man? This dwells amicably with friends, and does not oppose except the bad.
