different animals, growing fruits, and metals, together with the stars and the firmament, which creation the living spirit of GOD the Creator brought forth into a form, life, and effectiveness of virtue.
Thus have I now simply presented the arrival and birth of the seven planets and metals according to their essence and origin, just as others of the ancients have also done, yet not highly concealed, but simpliciter simply, in case someone might be found who wishes to learn the observation of their usefulness. For from this short poem much wisdom and understanding is to be learned. The foundation lies buried herein in the manner of a parable, and the light of the entire knowledge for health and long life, and wealth, stands described herein in this book. Many, however, will consider it untrue, and the greater part will consider it entirely foolish. But yet, the fewest will be found to whom God has granted understanding, wisdom, and art, so that they might become conquerors of all their enemies through it. Even if I do not maintain order here according to the certain number as others do regarding the following planets, as such are set by them, do not let it confuse you. For I follow my own paths, and it has not happened without a cause (so important are they). May the throne of grace of GOD the Creator be open to all the penitent, with true remorse unto eternal salvation, Amen.
