What they intended to accomplish in their minds, he knew well, and he took of this milk and honey that had come out of the mountain and said to them: I am called Faunus, and I am older than you, therefore I also know more than you both. Follow me, however, and obey my voice in what I shall announce to you. Only let no one interrupt me, for otherwise it will cost both of your lives, so that from henceforth for eternal times you will no longer be gods.
