Therefore a wind has often easily knocked them over, cast them down, and sometimes even carried them away entirely. Likewise, such artists, especially the Nigromantici necromancers, are very easily cast down, overcome, and often even carried away by winds, that is, by the spirits. Therefore, these things must be founded here upon the Holy Scripture and upon the teaching of Christ, which is a fixed, firm, and stable foundation.

Therefore we want to lay the foundation and cornerstone here upon three primary points, namely:

Firstly, upon prayer; this includes seeking and knocking, through which we call upon God the Almighty and remind Him of His promise. If this is done in the right manner with a pure and devout heart, then it shall be given to us, and we shall find what we seek; also everything that has otherwise been hidden and closed will be opened and revealed to us.
