We list this old A b c book as a supplementum supplement to Mr. Maittaire's Annalibus Typographicis Annals of Typography. It is provided with vignettes on the margins of the first and last pages, and the initial letters are provided with crude woodcuts. After the A b c stands the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary, the Creed, the Ten Commandments in 4 hexameters, the morning blessing, the Mass prayer, Psalms, and so on.

In the Thesauro Bibliothecali Library Treasury Vol. I. pagg. 179, a book printed by Matthæus Maler is reviewed, from which it can be seen that this Maler had stayed in Erfurt, and practiced his art there. He has been left out in the authors who have written about the book printers.
