And before it is infused into them, from the aspect of its life, he is that man who is fortified by divine intelligence and prudence. For it is the foundation of wisdom, consisting in the highest goodness. The spirit is infused before all things, and it is quickening in the world, and because it is an organ or machine subject to the will of God. Therefore, let it be understood so far from us, intelligible by mind alone, the highest, which is called the faith of the gods, the rector and governor of sensible things, the God who is filled in himself in all places, in all substances of things, and the whole universe, the created nature, and everything that is, whosoever he is. The spirit, indeed, being agitated, governs its own orb in the world, and the species, each one according to its nature distributed to it by God. This, however, or the world order, is the receptacle of all things, which is agitation and frequentation, which God the governor, dispensing, orders for human affairs as much as is necessary. Spirit, however, fills all things and rules them; it is the quality of nature. This rotundity in such a great wave, in the manner of a sphere. It governs or fosters itself for this cause, entirely invisible, especially since wherever you have chosen a place in it for the sake of looking down, you cannot see it from the bottom. Because of this, it presses in these places, and has to have a return of quality. Through fostering, it is seen inscribed as if in images by species alone, because it is invisible, nor is the path itself painted. In truth, however, it is always invisible to itself, from which it has one or a part of a place in the sphere, called in Greek ADHO form; since εῖδείμ to see is seen in Greek.
