The primum mobile the first mover, and consequently the nine inferior spheres, is divided into five parallel circles, one oblique circle, and two others so perpetually transverse that they always intersect one another at equal angles.

Of the parallels, the first is the æquator equator, which divides the sphere into two equal parts, the poles of which are the poles of the world. It is divided into three hundred and sixty parts, which are called degrees, as are the individual principal major circles, which are the Meridianus meridian, Æquator equator, Horizon horizon, and the Obliquus orbis zodiac/oblique circle.
