Whence now, in order to urge your Majesty to the rest of the Work, I inscribe to you this Compendium of Cosmography, so brief that a briefer one could not be devised, not only so that you might have it, but so that you might be able to read it. Thus, you may see in it especially, from the innumerable Christians dispersed throughout the East and previously unknown to us, how much utility you have brought to the whole world in restoring the Gospel through the few expenses of the printing of the Christian Gospel, since the greatest part of those Christians uses the language of Christ himself. For since we see today, through the sole use of printing, that doctrines, opinions, and dogmas of every kind, however wicked or vain, are poured out into the whole world: there is no doubt that you will do the same through that purest light of the Gospel in the language of the Redeemer, first exposed by you, which the factions of Satan are doing with the same printing press.
