long before, as far as nature had boiled up and grown into the mass it now has; yet, it is necessary first that the time of the six days was led by the first intellect that counts, through the sevenfold interval of days. Therefore, when Adam saw the first full day of the Sabbath under the guidance of the agent intellect and revelation, it is necessary that he arranged the six days before himself. Wherefore, Sunday is the first day. These days are of 24 hours each, but the hours are not always equal everywhere. For in the shortest day there are 12 [hours], and in the longest night joined to it there are 12, but they are so much longer as the daytime ones were shorter, and vice versa. And equal and unequal ones meet at the equinoxes. Therefore, they placed one beginning of the solar year at the winter equinox, and another of the lunar year because the Moon is in Libra,
