However, since this learned and esteemed letter contains, as it were, a brief summary of the life story of Master Antonius Corvinus, and also notes several matters therein which I have not cited, I have decided—even though my manuscript had already been sent to the printer—to incorporate it into my preface word for word, out of respect for this famous man and for the benefit of the kind reader.
