HEBREW-SAMARITAN.The term "Hebrew-Samaritan" refers to the ancient paleo-Hebrew script found on Jewish coinage from the Second Temple period. This script remained in use by the Samaritans and on coins, even after the square "Ashuri" script became standard for sacred Hebrew texts.
