exceptions, of which new impressions or translations
have been arranged in recent times, very rare and
difficult to find. From those
writings of Andreae which I could not
obtain to examine myself, I collected
precise literary notes. Nevertheless, there remain
several others that I know only by title
and their main content, because, despite
all laborious research, I could not
lay eyes upon them. I believe, however,
that I can maintain with good reason
that this latter circumstance does not
detract significantly from the completeness
of the list of writings which I hereby
present to the friends of the venerable
VALENTIN and the lovers
of his writings. And it is probable that the publication
of this list is the nearest and surest way
to fill the few
