The New Living Way Prepared by Christ

the LORD hears your prayer and intercession even for your worst enemies.
Isaiah 49:8; 2 Corinthians 6:1–18.

§. 8. At that time, says the prophet Micah (chapter 7:11), your walls will be built; your love, your faith, your hope, your life in GOD, peace, and joy grow to divine greatness. Your sanctification will then be perfected and brought to an end in you by the author and finisher of faith. Then living streams of water will flow from you, and GOD’s Word will then go out far: children in the Spirit will be born to you, like the dew from the dawn. And so the living stones will be prepared and finished for the new temple. There that which the prophet Isaiah speaks (chapter 49:16–17) will be fulfilled: Your walls are always before me. Your builders will hasten, but your breakers and destroyers (all godless and hypocritical teachers) will depart.

§. 9. But if you follow your spouse out of lust or fear, and do the will of his flesh, or agree to the perverse will of your parents and friends, and prefer disorderly love of nature and creatures to the love of JESUS and the urges of His Spirit; if you follow the flattering speeches of your hypocritical priest, worship the work of his own hands, and honor everything he does in his own name, power, and urge as GOD’s name and work; if you allow yourself to be held back from the childlike and simple obedience of your JESUS by servile fear of the worldly sword of the Obrigkeit authority/magistrate, with which they protect the malice and abomination of all godless priests, so that you obey the authorities more than GOD in divine matters, and thus act and do against your better knowledge and conscience, or the divine convictions of your conscience; then you indeed have good peace after the flesh and good days with all the godless and hypocrites, they honor you, they speak well of you: they no longer scold you as an adulterer, whoremonger, liar, disorderly person, Schwermer religious fanatic/enthusiast, and fool. Your priests give you the highest praise, they exalt you to the third heaven because you worship their human ordinances and statutes and no longer punish them by separating yourself, and do not avoid them as those acting against the Evangelio Christi Gospel of Christ
