not from some, but from all defilements of the flesh and spirit might be cleansed, and the sanctification in us perfected by the author and finisher of faith, and we might be filled with the fullness of God and His Spirit, for perfect peace and joy.
To this end, all our holding of meetings, praying and singing, teaching, admonishing, and brotherly rebuking would proceed and aim, as God's Spirit worked within us according to His freedom.
Since everything that is around us and beside us often sought to make the members sluggish and lazy in this divine work, in praying and fighting against sins, and to distract us from the mind of Jesus into the earthly; we were compelled by God's Spirit to also observe the Love-Feast, to bind ourselves anew to all the above points, but especially to the unity of the Spirit and the fellowship of the sufferings of Jesus more intimately with one another, and to encourage one another to resist no more sufferings, nor to murmur secretly about them, nor to complain to anyone about them, but to bear everything with patience through the very Spirit of faith and the mind of suffering of Jesus, and gladly to let our whole own life pass away, and to be crucified and put to death amidst the external and internal tribulations, yes, to be so strengthened in brotherly love by the Spirit that everyone would be quite willing in pure, holy, chaste love also to lay down his life for the brethren, and to surrender himself as a curse and a sin-offering original: "Feg-Opffer" to the world.
In this brotherly love, we made both the spiritual and bodily gifts common to all members of Christ. We sought daily to lay aside all self-seeking, envy, domination, unloving judging, condemning, causing offense, and unmercifulness more and more, for the stronger to lift and bear the weaker, to help the erring to the right path with meek hearts. There, one member felt the spiritual as well as bodily need of the other within, and was moved to pity and actual help. In the same, we then also demonstrated universal love. There we prayed heartily to God primarily for the state authorities original: "Landes-Obrigkeit" and for all other estates, and that God might thereby still snatch some away through true repentance, step into the breach,
