goodness is minorifying. And just as we have said concerning goodness, so it can be said about the other principles in their own way. This figure is very general, with which the intellect is very general for making sciences. The condition of this figure is that one chamber should not be against another, but that they should agree with each other in the conclusion, just as the chamber BC, and so for others; with such a condition, the intellect conditions itself and creates science.
The fourth figure has three circles, of which the superior is immovable, but the two lower ones are mobile, as is evident in the figure. The middle circle is turned under the superior immovable circle, as for example when C is placed under B; the lower circle, however, is turned under the middle circle, as when D is placed under C, and at that time nine chambers are formed: BCD is one chamber, CDE is another, and so on for the others in succession. Let E of the smaller circle be placed under C of the middle circle, and at that time other nine chambers are formed: BCE is one chamber, and CDF another. And when all the letters of the smaller circle have been circulated with B of the larger circle and with C of the middle circle, then at that time C is the middle term between B and D, because B and D participate between themselves by way of the significations of C; and so for other chambers, and thus through the middle terms of the chambers
