And if there had not been two French theatres then, as Mr. Cailhava has said, dramatic art would have been deprived of one of its masterpieces. This last reason alone is more than sufficient to open the eyes of the government to this part of administration, which is not as small as some great and sublime politicians imagine it to be, and to give free rein to the entrepreneurs of
