...of the wholes, and nothing else at all in common with them: and indeed also the uncreated, and inseparable in being, and power, and in activity commonly understood, but all such things are worthy to be attributed to the gods. But that which is already divided from the multitude, and having no cause of itself, nor using the limit as if it were in another, is in itself. And the common distribution of the shares in the beings, not even completing it according to itself. But dependent on motion and being enlivened by participation. And having communion toward all beings, and being shared with the distributions, received from all, being renewed again through its own reception, and according to the power of the lives themselves being complete, and the essence judged not the same as those before it, this whole thing, to distribute it always to the souls.
What are the properties of souls?
What are the properties of divine demons and heroes?
Keeping them. But what then shall we say concerning the intermediate? We consider all such things to be intermediate from those that are immediate: and it fills up indeed concerning the extremes, the things inseparable from each other; not indeed but it is necessary to discover this also by reason. What then does the race of demons bring into the one of the multitude, and being mixed without magnitude. And the good things, and the things of the others, and having received the idea of the better. But that of the heroes, having received most particularly the division, I mean and the multitude, but the motion, and the mixing, and the things related to these: but standing apart from above, and as it were hidden, a thing in itself expressible: but rather I say in struggles and purity, and the permanent state, sameness and the indivisible and superiority of the holy. As they are near the races, being immediately from the others of the extremes. That of the heroes is?... the most. But that of the last. Without falling, it also dissolves the continuous. That which begins from the indeterminate, toward that which admires those who are primarily presiding, the connection toward the last, and participates somehow even of the superior things. The completion, however, will be replaced even from these, of the first and of the second races.
The demon.
The hero.
