...the magnetism with which two persons, stirred by the motion of hidden sympathetic affection, ignite into unusual affections of mutual benevolence, so that consequently that worn-out controversy among moral philosophers, (Whether love can be exercised between two people unknown to each other?), appears to be decided by a more than truthful assertion.
