A Little Song

Because they remained steadfast.

Joyful were these three together,
The one with the other,
And also so very well content;
They exhorted and comforted one another.
The Council looked at the youngest one:
Pray to the Margrave, he shall release you.

As my brother does, I wish to suffer for the truth.

So joyfully, one cannot tell it,
They stepped to the stake,
And cried to one another: O brother, listen,
Thus we travel to the home of peace.
